Characters from The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis are being carved in stone for exterior walls of the church. The carvings are being made as part of the project to restore St Mary’s crumbling stonework. This exciting development has come about as a result of the ‘Curious Carvings’ project which is being delivered thanks to a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Find out more about that heritage project and the history of St Mary’s here:
