We have close ties with our church school and we are proud of the work undertaken in the school especially our worship.
Here is our harvest service
Once week worship is led by the vicar and we run a ‘SUPER club’ on a lunchtime which explores the Bible with children in fun and interactive way.
The governing body is made of several members of the church and the Christian faith is the foundation of the school. In the words of the prospectus:
As a Church of England primary school everything we do is underpinned by our Christian ethos. Christian values are taught and encouraged at school and we see ourselves as belonging to one large school family. The warm, nurturing atmosphere in school has been commented on by many visitors to St Mary’s.
Regular school services also take place in church, which staff and children both look forward to.
You can learn more about the school on St Mary’s School web page.
